During September 2018, domestic traffic increased in all our airports, with the largest increases in:

  • Monterrey (+13.7%), with 50% of total domestic traffic, benefitted from increases in the number of passengers on the Mexico City, Cancún and Guadalajara routes.

  • Culiacán (+22.3%) increased traffic on the Tijuana route.

  • Ciudad Juárez (+19.7%) increased traffic on the Guadalajara and Mexico City routes.

  • Chihuahua (+17.3%) increased traffic on the Mexico City route.

  • Acapulco (+49.9%) increased traffic on the Mexico City route.

During September 2017, domestic traffic volumes were affected by the effects of Hurricane Max (in Acapulco) and the earthquakes of September 7 and 19 in central and southern Mexico.

In September 2018, Vivaaerobus started flying the Monterrey – Morelia route.

International traffic grew in ten airports in September, with the largest increase in Monterrey (+3.6%), as a result of increases in the number of passengers on the Houston route.

Of total passenger traffic, 99.2% was commercial, and 0.8% was general aviation.
