Hiscox Presents Fourth Annual Hiscox Courage Award at Austin Film Festival

New York, NY, Oct. 26, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Hiscox, the global specialist insurer and a leading insurer of films and other media productions in the US and abroad, will present the fourth annual Hiscox Courage Award™ at this year's 25^th anniversary of the Austin Film Festival. Hiscox will also participate as the event's opening night leading sponsor for the fourth consecutive year.

Selected exclusively by the audience, the Hiscox Courage Award will recognize the festival film that most embodies courage in its storytelling and the filmmaker who best embraced risk to tell the story. The 2018 Austin Film Festival, also known as "The Writers Festival," will run from October 25 until November 1, and the Hiscox Courage Award will be awarded the week of November 3.

The 2017 Hiscox Courage Award was presented to Coming to My Senses, a documentary feature directed by Dominic Gill that follows a man who faces insurmountable odds and learns to walk again after becoming paralyzed in an accident. Hiscox's partnership with the Austin Film Festival also includes the Hiscox Filmmaker Blog Archive, where filmmakers share stories of the challenges they faced during the creation of their films.
