EUR/USD - EUR/USD Failed to End the Day Above 1.0670 - 01/13/2017 (GMT)

Euro extended its gains against the U.S. dollar during yesterday’s session while it surged more than 0.5% over the last two days, coming within 15 pips of 1.0700 psychological level. It is also important to recognize that the euro is rising because the greenback is falling.

From a technical point of view, the EUR/USD pair rose above the 50-daily SMA, however, it failed to end the day above the strong resistance level at 1.0670. If the price surpasses 1.0700, it would open the door for a retest of the 1.0800 handle. Technical indicators are confirming the recent bullish attitude as both are moving within a positive area. RSI is rising with a solid move and is approaching the 70 level whilst MACD has just inclined above zero line.
