Foresters Financial and KaBOOM! Partner to Increase Play Opportunities for Mesa Kids

Mesa, AZ, May 18, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The Mesa community was revitalized today thanks to a new playground built at Liberty Arts Academy. In just six hours, more than 100 volunteers from Foresters Financial™, Liberty Arts Academy and the national non-profit KaBOOM! created the new playspace, which will serve more than 480 children and their families in the local community for years to come.

"We are proud to partner with KaBOOM! on these builds that provide children with exciting new play areas and also give families the opportunity to spend quality time together." 

The design for the new playground is based on drawings created by neighborhood children at a special Design Day event held in March when community members met with organizers from KaBOOM! and Foresters Financial to design their dream playground. The drawings inspired the final playground design. 

Since 2006, Foresters Financial and KaBOOM! have built 154 beautiful play spaces across 93 cities in 31 states and provinces throughout North America and by the end of 2019, Foresters Financial will have funded more than 160 playgrounds. Thanks to the hard work of over 10,625 Foresters members, sales partners and guests for the last twelve years, Foresters is positively impacting the lives of more than 5.3 million children by providing them with access to play. Through each new playground, families are better able to spend quality time together right in their own neighborhoods, playing alongside Foresters members and community partners.

Liberty Arts Academy is a Pre-School thru 8^th Grade School that focuses on Play & Family (Finland Strategies), whole child strategies such as 8 specials/electives (Art, Music, PE, Computers, Library) each week for all students,  movement / exercise / flexible seating, and a Blended Learning environment that meets the needs of individual students.  Currently, we have an enrollment of 275 students.  As a school, our school and staff are dedicated, passionate about education and students.  Liberty Arts Academy believes that every child deserves a safe, innovate, creative, and exciting learning environment that develops a Love for Learning each and every day!
