Larson Electronics Releases Hazardous Location Battery-Powered LED Beacon Indicator Flare

KEMP, Texas, Oct. 21, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Larson Electronics, a Texas-based company with over 40 years of experience spearheading the industrial lighting sector, announced the release of a hazardous location LED beacon indicator flare that is a safe and lightweight alternative to traditional pyrotechnic flares. This battery-powered indicator flare features eight high intensity LEDs inside an ATEX-rated LED lamp that provides a beam distance up to 3/4 of a mile.

The Larson Electronics HAL-ATEX-STRB-RWF Hazardous Location LED Beacon is a safe alternative to traditional pyrotechnic flares for use in hazardous locations.

The HAL-ATEX-STRB-RWF beacon flare provides powerful emergency signaling and takes four, AA batteries offering more than 20 hours of use. The LED beacon flare is equipped with a flash rate of 165-185 fpm and features a 360° beam configuration and two operational modes including flashing and steady on. The LED lamp is offered in blue, green, white, red or amber.

This emergency LED beacon is designed for Class I, Division 2; Zone 2 and ATEX-rated environments and capable of surviving a 3-foot drop. The unit is made of ABS plastic with a polycarbonate fresnel lens and is dust and waterproof up to 100 feet. The lime-yellow coat color ensures the flare is easy to find and see in emergency situations.

The unit has two clips and eyelets for easy mounting on belts, ropes, cones, signs or lines, making it ideal for use as an indicator flare in emergency situations. This LED beacon is also suitable for law enforcement operations and traffic control, and for safety lighting in a variety of explosive worksites and facilities.
