Steel Rising At Steeple Bay, Wichita’s New 80-Acre Mixed Use Waterfront Development

Wichita, Kan., Jan. 23, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Steeple Bay is an 80-acre mixed-use development at Highway 235 and South Seneca in Wichita’s 13 square mile Crossgate District. It is anchored by both Camping World and Gander Outdoors, next to a 14-acre lake.

“The transformation of the Crossgate District is very visible as the steel now in place on the first buildings can be easily seen from Highway 235,” said Jeff Lange, Managing Partner of Triple Crown Real Estate Investment Trust. “We are so excited to bring Marcus Lemonis and his enterprises to Wichita to be another example of the transformation we are creating in the state’s largest redevelopment project.”

Sales and leasing activity is now underway. Steeple Bay will include hotels, restaurants, multi-family and/or retirement facilities, and additional retail concepts.

“The blight southeast of I-235 at Seneca is gone, an amazing amount of dirt work activity has been going on, and now the walls of Gander Outdoors and Camping World are rising,” said Richard Napper, Master Developer.

Dondlinger Construction is the general contractor at Steeple Bay, with engineering from MKEC.
