Hello everyone, I decided to create this post to share my project with you. My project is the result of my experience. I would be happy to hear your opinions on it, and if what follows interests you.

I am a great fan of the Ichimoku Kinko Hyo indicator, if you follow my analysis, you would know that. I use the metatrader4 platform, some will say MT4 is outdated, but for me MT4 is very good and for a reason. I searched the web for a long time for any kind of indicator based on the Ichimoku, but nothing suited me. Either the codes were not what I was looking for, or the indicator required too many PC resources (slow PC, memory almost entirely utilised, CPU fan running at full capacity, etc.) if installed on several charts. Since I'm not the type to run away from problems, I took the bull by the horns, opened MetaEditor and started scribbling lines of code. I started my experience with a homemade indicator installed on all my charts, value by value, unit of time by unit of time, but that didn't suit me. I was constantly changing charts and time units to see if something was possible or not. So I stopped this project to create the following, a control screen for the Ichimoku Kinko Hyo indicator. I then created my control screen on a single window, which analyses not only 1 single value on 1 single time unit but several values and on all time units available on MT4 according to several criteria, and from there my control screen was born, the Ichimoku Kinko Hyo Dashboard.

The Ichimoku Kinko Hyo Dashboard for Metatrader4 is not a technical indicator or a trend indicator, it is a veritable real-time market scanner.

If you know the Ichimoku Kinko Hyo, you should know that the market can be analysed over several time units such as: I start my analysis with daily then I look at the H4 and in the end I position myself on the H1. You should also know that the kijun and senkou span B are important supports and resistances. Let the kijun set the market tone and then let chikou also give its approval. So I started by coding trends according to the appropriate time units for the very short term, short term, medium term and long term. Then I added a function to detect kijun and senkou span B breaks by chikou. Then Mrs Karen Péloille clearly indicated the usefulness of twists, so a function on this dashboard enables you to identify when the price comes to a twist. Mr Patrick Riguet uses emerging twists, those of the future kumo, so I also designed a function that detects them. And finally, katana detection is also available, I'm not a fan of them but Mr Khalid El Bouzidi talks about them, so the scanner had to identify and display them. Even if, according to my last Twitter chat with Karen Péloille, there are no katanas.

The primary use of the Ichimoku Kinko Hyo Dashboard is to be able to identify a trend in the market according to the principle of analysing an asset over three different time units. Then the other functions described above were gradually added to this dashboard, making it a true real-time market scanner.

The strong points of the Ichimoku Kinko Hyo Dashboard are that everything is calculated in real time. It consumes fewer PC resources than all the indicators I have used so far, which were only carried out on the 6 major pairs and on only 1 time unit per pair. It can calculate up to 40 values at the same time. The only limit for doing this is your PC (memory & CPU).

There are still changes to be made, they should be made soon. Mini versions will soon be available to satisfy as many people as possible.

What is a mini version of the Ichimoku Kinko Hyo Dashboard?
A mini version is, for example, if you only trade twists the rest of the alerts will be of no use to you, you will then have the Ichimoku Kinko Hyo - Twist Dashboard.

The mini versions will be as follows:
Ichimoku Kinko Hyo - Trend Dashboard
Ichimoku Kinko Hyo - Chikou Dashboard
Ichimoku Kinko Hyo - Twist Dashboard
Ichimoku Kinko Hyo - Katana Dashboard

Any criticism, whether positive or negative, is welcome.

Before sharing it with you, I would rather ask Mr Patrick Riguet (Cypressat) for his agreement regarding the emerging twists function.

Guillaume

PS: I would like to thank Vincent Launay who authorised my request for this post, which does not concern the PRT platform. To satisfy the largest number of people, I will also develop this dashboard for the ProRealTime platform in the near future.
