What is Damn Single?
Damn Single is a little game on the NEO blockchain that consists in buying virtual dogs with NEO cryptocurrency, raising them, collecting them or reselling them. Virtual dogs can also be mated to create new little virtual dogs. Each Damn Single has a unique genome that defines its appearance and characteristics; each Damn Single also has different abilities and attributes.

What's behind Damn Single?
The idea of the Game Fund is clearly to make fun of the Ethereum blockchain and to sell the power and smooth operation of projects which would rather be launched on the NEO blockchain.Let's remember, CryptoKitties was only a simple game aiming at "testing" the Ethereum blockchain under "general public" conditions. Result: this game managed to congest the Ethereum blockchain.
Damn Single intends to show that the NEO blockchain can perform these tests without any problems.
To disguise this insult a little, Game Fund relied on the fact that the year 2018 is the year of the dog in China... Barely enough as an excuse... All that remains is to launch the project and hope that the blockchain supports the test well... Otherwise, the Ethereum community risks having the last laugh and making even greater fun of the NEO community.
Apart from the "game" side, is buying virtual dogs a good investment?
I think that the limits PEA investors speak about have been largely exceeded. It needs to be talked about though. Knowing that the most expensive "Kitty" was bought at 253 Ethers (that’s nearly $110,000 at the time of the sale) and that it is currently on sale at 300 Ethers (that’s nearly $330,000 at the current ETH price), you might say: "why not buy some little dogs on Damn Single?“ No?
The boom in little virtual dogs is only due to one thing: the buzz
The more buzz Damns Single creates, the more real market movements there are of Damn Singles including buyers and sellers, the more prices will fly. Clearly there is nothing more risky. Buying a little virtual dog is like buying wind, it is clearly worth nothing. But lots of things are virtual these days and are still very expensive.
I'm not going to recommend that you buy a Damn Single; it's unthinkable! But I suggest that you keep an eye on the project to see if the NEO blockchain passes this test, and to see at what price Damn Singles trade for on the little virtual dog market, so you can carry on saying (along with me) that “it's a big nonsense” ;).
