Transfer NEO to a NEON Wallet

You have just purchased NEO on a cryptocurrency trading platform, you may want to transfer your NEO to a private NEON Wallet. Your NEO will be safer there, and they will allow you to generate GAS for free.
Good to know: 100 NEO generate approximately 1 GAS per month.
Simply go to http://neonwallet.com/ and download the latest version of NEON Wallet that will work on your computer.

Open the NEON Wallet software, then select "Create a new wallet".
You will then be sent two addresses:
- a public address: to be used to transfer NEO or GAS to the Wallet, to simply consult (as a guest) the account balance or past transactions, or to participate in ICOs.
- a private address: NEVER tell anyone this address; NEVER copy it in an email; This key is to be kept secretly! Store it in a secure manner.
From the exchange platform you make a "Withdrawal" from the NEO Wallet. The destination address of your NEO/GAS is the public address provided by NEON in step 2.
In this example, the investor has 87 NEO and 0.11015 GAS in his NEON Wallet; He can ask (at any time) to receive the pending 0.017922 GAS. To do so, he simply has to click on the "Claim 0.017922 GAS" button to receive them in his NEON Wallet.
NB: the balance of uncollected GAS increases every second depending on the number of NEOs held in the NEON Wallet. There is no need to spend your time claiming your GAS on the NEO blockchain. They are accumulated pending your request for receipt. So claiming your GAS once a month is all you need.
To resell your accumulated NEO or GAS from the NEON Wallet, simply click on the "SEND" button. You will be asked if you wish to transfer NEO or GAS, the amount, and the address to which to transfer these cryptocurrencies.
If you want to send the NEO back to the cryptocurrency trading platform, you just have to get the NEO deposit address from your exchange platform, then enter it in the NEON Wallet.
